When is it too far?

Right after a person gets dumped, what is their first reaction? Revenge. But how far is too far? Usually a person can get with the ex's best friend or even better an enemy. The only thing you care about is to get your ex's attention any way you could. You can either show up everywhere the ex is and show him what hes missing. Or take the missing approach and avoid places he is going to be to make him curious. But these are baby games compared to what I have recently heard about a girl doing.
This girl and guy had a long distance relationship. He was in Mississippi, in the Marines. After about two months of them being together he didn't feel like the relationship was working. Aside from him being far away, his girlfriend was always nagging him. Whether it was he didn't get to call her back because he fell asleep early because he was waking up at 5 in the morning. Or because a girl commented his myspace. This girl was just not even trying to make the relationship work. It was as if she enjoyed the fighting. But as if he wasn't in enough stress with being there working constantly, he realized he didn't need this additional anxiety. So he called it quits. Well that was just unacceptable for this girl. She only called him more regardless of the time and constantly kept harassing his friends from home. She was going to his parents house complaining to them about him leaving her. And she was even thinking about telling him that she was pregnant to keep him around.
But just the other night she took it to a whole other level. Like I mentioned before he is in the Marines. She somehow got in touch with his command officer, or whatever they are called, and told him that the boy stole something from her and is refusing to give it back. The boy was just recently asked to go to Iraq. That no longer is an option for him. He is in deep trouble for this. Loyalty is a big thing in the Marines and now it seems as if he is a thief. This girl may have just ruined his career. That is just wrong, how selfish could a person be? Does destroying someone else's life make a broken heart heal? I personally don't think so.
